Motivational lecture organized by Placement Cell of Multani Mal Modi College
The placement Cell of Multani mal Modi College, Patiala today organized a motivational lecture to train the students in presentational skills, resume writing skills and to enroll them with Employment Generation Cell of Punjab Government. The main speaker in this event was Simpy Singla, PCS, District Employment, Skill Development and Training Officer, Patiala. She previously worked with different media organizations.
College Principal Dr. Khushvinder Kumar welcomed the main speaker and said that it is important to upgrade the skills and knowledge for the students to meet the requirements of different employment providing agencies and organizations.
Dr. Neeraj Goyal, Placement coordinator said that the college is organizing and arranging such programs and events to facilitate the students for better career choices and productive job opportunities. Prof. Parminder Kaur motivated the students to enroll in large numbers and to focus on their communication skills.
In her address Ms. Simpy Singla elaborated the importance of learning new skills, the multilingual approach and expertise in technology-based working. She shared with the students her experiences as an employment generation officer and the secrets of cracking competitive exams. She also shared valuable tips regarding writing an impressive resume.
The vote of thanks was delivered by placement officer Dr. Rohit Sachdeva. Around 500 students participated in this event and more than 250 students were enrolled with District Bureau Employment Exchange, Patiala.

ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪਲੇਸਮੈੱਟ ਸੈੱਲ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅੱਜ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰ-ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਨਿਪੁੰਨਤਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਗਰੂਕ ਕਰਨ, ਬਿਉਰਾ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਤੇ ਲੋਂੜੀਦੀਆਂ ਕੁਸ਼ਲ-ਯੋਗਤਾਵਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦੇਣ ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਚਲਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਉਤਪਤੀ ਸੈੱਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਜਿਸਟਰ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੱਖ ਵਕਤਾ ਵੱਜੋਂ ਸਿੰਮੀ ਸਿੰਗਲਾ, ਪੀ.ਸੀ.ਐੱਸ, ਜ਼ਿਲਾ ਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰ, ਸਕਿੱਲ ਡਿਵੈਂਲਪਮੈਂਟ ਤੇ ਟਰੇਨਿੰਗ ਅਫਸਰ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਹ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਕਈ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਨਿਭਾ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ.ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਵਕਤਾ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕਰਦਿਆ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮੇਂ- ਸਮੇਂ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਯੋਗਤਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਧਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਯਤਨਸ਼ੀਲ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਏਜੰਸੀਆਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਤ ਪੈਮਾਨਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਪੂਰਾ ਉਤਰ ਸਕਣ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪਲੇਸਮੈੱਟ ਸੈੱਲ ਦੇ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਡਾ.ਨੀਰਜ ਗੋਇਲ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮਾਂ ਰਾਹੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧੀਆ ਕੈਰੀਅਰ ਚੁਣਨ ਤੇ ਸਫਲ ਨੌਕਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।ਕਾਮਰਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਪਰਮਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨਾਲ ਰਜਿਸਟਰ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਕਮਿਊਨੀਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਕਿੱਲਜ਼ ਸੁਧਾਰਣ ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ।
ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੋਲਦਿਆ ਸਿੰਪੀ ਸਿੰਗਲਾ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਵੇਂ ਹੁਨਰ ਸਿੱਖਣ, ਬਹੁਭਾਸ਼ਾਈ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਯੋਗਤਾ ਵਿਕਿਸਤ ਕਰਨ ਤੇ ਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਤੇ ਫੋਕਸ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ।ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਅਫਸਰ ਵੱਜੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਤਜਰਬੇ ਵੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਤੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰੀਖ੍ਰਿਆ ਬਾਰੇ ਨੁਕਤੇ ਵੀ ਦੱਸੇ।ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਬਿਉਰਾ ਲਿਖਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਧਿਆਨ ਰੱਖਣ ਯੋਗ ਸੂਤਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਵੀ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਤੇ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਦਾ ਮਤਾ ਡਾ.ਰੋਹਿਤ ਸਚਦੇਵਾ, ਪਲੇਸਮੈੱਟ ਅਫਸਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਤਿਾ ਗਿਆ।ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ 500 ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 250 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਡਿਸਟ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਬਿਊਰੋ ਇੰਪਲਾਇਮੈਂਟ ਐਕਚੇਂਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਨਾਲ ਰਜਿਸਟਰ ਹੋਏ।
